FEES

$20 processing fee per person will be added to the below registration fees

Adult: 

  • Before Jan. 31, 2018:    $825+ 107.25 HST  
  • Feb. 1 - June 30, 2018:  $865 + 112.45 HST
  • Lists of what is and is not included are included below.

Waterfront Trail Champion

  • $500 + $65 HST + $1,000 required fundraising 
  • includes 2018 commemorative GWTA  jersey

  • The first five 2018 GWTA campaigns will receive a donation of $200 each from David Werezak; a long-time supporter of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail and a founding member of the League of Extraordinary Waterfront Trail Champions. 

Student rider (aged 17- 25):

  •     $550 + $71.50 HST      

Child  (12 - 17): 

  • $300 + $39 HST

Personal Support Vehicle:   

  • $450 + $58.50 HST        
Meals: One dinner, one lunch, at least one reception and all breakfasts are included in the 2017 registration fee. All other meals are on your own in the local communities--one of the ways the GWTA supports local businesses and promotes communities. It also allows you to schedule and budget your lunches and dinners according to your needs.

TRANSPORTATION

Please note that in 2018 registration DOES NOT INCLUDE coach transportation from the Finish at the Quebec border to Long Term Parking in Ajax.  

Coach Transportation on Friday August 3rd from the Finish at Glengarry Park to Long Term Parking in Ajax  - will be available to purchase separatly in the spring of 2018.

 Transportation will include a seat on a luxury coach bus, luggage and bike transport, taxes and processing fees.

Made by Sugoi, 2018 GWTA limited edition jerseys will be  available to order in spring 2018! Jerseys are only available to order for registered GWTA participants.

PAYMENT METHODS 

Credit Card:

Payment by credit card will be processed securely by PayPal, $20 registration fee per rider covers credit card processing fee. You do not need to have a Pay Pal account for amounts under $1,500. If registering more than one participant and total comes to more than $1500, you will be prompted to create a PayPal account for added security.  Click here to register.

INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION FEE 

  • All breakfasts on 29 July - 3rd August
  • Opening night reception in Cobourg
  • Celebration dinner at the NAV Centre, Cornwall on Thursday August 3rd
  • Lunch and snacks at the Finish Line
  • Designated route for week
  • Printed itinerary with maps
  • 3 nights camping in host Waterfront Trail Communities and 2 nights in non camping accommodation ( Queens University suites  in Kingston and the NAV centre in Cornwall)
  • Long term parking at a location close to the ride start in Ajax 
  • Programmed events and activities other than cycling (some may be subject to an additional charge)
  • Luggage transfer (subject to weight & size restrictions, click here)
  • Support vehicles for riders who do not wish to cycle the full distance
  • A team of experienced volunteer cyclists to provide on route first aid, basic bike repair, help with navigation, and good cheer
  • Commemorative Finishers Medal
  • Tour organization and support 

NOT INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION FEE 

  • Snacks
  • Lunches on July 29, 30, 31,August 1 & 2. Dinners on July 29, 30, 31, & 1 August. There are lots of communities and choices for lunches and dinners.
  • Camping gear
  • Non-camping accommodations such as Hotels, B&Bs, or Comfy Campers
  • Transportation from the Finish back to long term parking in Ajax, but transportation will be available to purchase seperately - see above.

Congratulations on registering for the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure!  We are excited to have you join us and want to make sure that you have everything you need in order to have a great experience. Please use this checklist to help you organize your trip.

  • Completed Registration for the 2018 GWTA - Ajax to Quebec border.
  • Organized transportation to the start of the event if you plan on using Toronto Long Term Parking - Transportation options available soon.
  • Organized transportation from the Finish if you plan on using Ajax Long Term Parking.
  • Booked accommodations if planning to stay in hotels or use Comfy Campers.
  • A list of what to pack can be found here.
  • Check out the itinerary pages for extra activities that you may be interested in.

CANCELLATION POLICY 

If you must cancel your registration, the cancellation fee will be determined according to the policy outlined below.  Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, or personal emergencies.  There is no refund for arriving late or leaving the trip early.

The fees retained reflect the costs to the Trust of administering the Tour registration and are not intended to be punitive in any way. The Trust realizes that the majority of those who cancel their registrations do so out of necessity.

If you wish to cancel your registration, you must request a refund by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. on or before the above noted deadlines. No exceptions to the deadline or amount of refund will be considered.

Transfer of Registration:   After April 1, 2017 the Trust will not issue refunds. However, you may sell or transfer or give your registration to someone else. The Trust will not facilitate these transactions. To transfer a registration, the Trust must have an email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) from both parties (seller & purchaser) stating that the transfer has taken place and is accepted by both parties.

Registration Carry Overs:   All Registrations apply to the Tour year only – 2017. No year-to-year carry-overs will be granted.
