The Trust is fortunate to have partners who contribute not only funding but also time, knowledge and ideas to our work. We are grateful to all our
donors, volunteers and sponsors for their active support.

  Since 1996 the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce – CIBC, our founding partner, has provided $1.25 million to support the completion, enhancement and promotion of Ontario's Waterfront Trail.
     
 

The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Government of Ontario generously provided $200,000 to support a partner-wide strategic planning process.

In 2008, the OTF provided the Waterfront Regeneration Trust with a three-year, $210,000 grant to help launch the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure.

     
  The Great Waterfront Trail Adventure is proud to be assisted by the CAA and their Mobile Bike Assist program. The CAA will be providing support with shuttles in the 2012 GWTA and in offering the Mobile Bike Shop.
     
Ontario Government   The Ontario government has contributed to the promotion of Waterfront Trail and Greenway acessibility through their generous support of the Taste of the Trail Starter Kits, the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure brochure and an update to the 1997 Waterfront Trail's Design, Signage and Maintenance Guidelines. The Ministry also supported the promotion of the 2008 Great Waterfront Trail Adventure.In 2010 the Ministry of Tourism funded work by the WRT to work with communities along Lake Erie and Carolinian Canada Coalition to create the Waterfront Trail along Lake Erie and the Erie Coastal Stewardship Eco Trail.
     

Fort Henry

  St Lawrence Parks Commission--one of the largest tourism destinations in Eastern Ontario, extending 200 km from Kingston to the Quebec border. Their facilities include parks, attractions along the St. Lawrence Heritage Corridor including Fort Henry, Upper Canada Village, Long Sault Parkway and 1000 Islands Parkway. Manage several excellent campgrounds along the route. In 2005 the St. Lawrence Parks joined the Waterfront partnership and designated the St. Lawrence recreational trail as Waterfront Trail.
     
     
Logo   MapMobility has generously provided digital base maps to the Trust and their expertise for the development of our webmaps and trailhead signs and has incorporated the Waterfront Trail alignment in all its mapping products. They design the Waterfront Trail webmaps and publish and distributes the 2010 Waterfront Trail and Greenway Mapbook.

Welcome Cyclists is a project of Transportation Options geared to helping businesses develop cycling-friendly services and facilities through their ceritification program. The WRT is pleased to know that many businesses and accommodations along the Waterfront Trail are seeking Welcome Cyclist certification and are ready to serve cyclists.
